River Ⅰ Instructor
The River I Instructor Paddle Canada Course is comprehensive training program designed to equip advanced flatwater instructors with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely navigate moving water environments. This course covers everything from the basics of river dynamics to advanced rescue techniques, with a focus on safety and best practices.

Equipment
Wetsuit, leash, personal flotation device (PFD), paddle, and your personal board
Prerequisites
- 18 years of age
- Current Paddle Canada Membership
- Paddle Canada River II certification (or equivalent skills and knowledge)
- Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater Instructor certification
- Intermediate First Aid CPR-C and AED
- Recommended: appropriate swift water rescue training
The course is limited to 6 participants per instructor. Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable
